I love link lists! And I love your blog (newly discovered via Tastespotting)
Who’s cooler than you? I love this. Especially Steepster. Thank you so very much.
Well, I feel like I’ve been to school- I’ve learned so much from your site this afternoon! I love this list– it’s funny and filled with great ideas, books and tips. If this was August’s collection, I cannot wait to see what you come up with in September.
Are you from the US or the UK? I noticed that a lot of the links were UK sites.
And, also, you’re a friend of Joy the Baker’s! How cool! Don’t you just love this small food blogging world we’ve all created? It’s nice to meet you, Amy.
Great information. I will look into your info for my friends. Love your site …
Have a wonderful Day !
Interesting and useful compilation of info esp the rules for healthy eating. Tks for sharing!
Do a side by side comparison of any Two Foods. Okay, I want to compare lobster and filet mignon. Hmmmm. One’s a delicious bottom feeder, and the other comes from Costco. Neither has ever come in a lunchbox. Sorry, this is too much like a term paper.
Mike – Christophe Reeve (r.i.p.) would be proud.
Here’s what mine looks like:

Mike – Ooh, I don’t know. Circa 1969, the year I was born…and Superman? I might fight you for that one. Nobody would believe the collection that adorns my pantry. With Paul’s addition of Yankee Doodle…so beat up. So awesome.
OK, I love the lunch boxes too. That nurse one is designed kinda like my sister’s Barbie case! That’s great! I still have my Superman lunchbox (from 1969 or 1970) in the basement? What’s it worth to you, Amy? ;)
Thanks for the informative links! I will be checking out kids cookbooks for my daughter. The sandwich designs are neat!
Great collection for August. Love that first one listed of comparing two foods – I know I’ll use that.
I’ll spend my morning going through the links in more detail, ignoring my Monday morning to-dos!
I don’t understand the “10 worst lunchboxes ever.” Back when we were kids, and the LBs were made of tin or metal that after about four days would show rust, was there anything OTHER than a bad lunchbox? They were all terrible.
And I loved mine.
Solid list again this month. I’m really diggin’ that 10-piece nesting cookware.
I swear, I remember that Bee Gees lunch box. The Threadcakes and Funky Lunch collection are amazing. Awesome list as usual, Amy!
thanx for the links!! very informative! sounds fun!
cheers!
All of these look like so much fun! Now I know how I am going to procrastinate cleaning my room today.
I have been thinking about your eggplant bitterness issues and I hear that if you salt the eggplant for like an hour before you use it (cut it into slices, pour salt on it, leave for half hour, then flip and repeat with the other side for a half hour, then rinse), the bitterness is reduced. I also have a recipe for mashed eggplant on the blog that is absolutely amazing. Dreamier perhaps even then good mashed potatoes.
