Always love your small bites, Amy! Although I have to object to “the saddest cookbook” ever written ~ but that’s WAY too much food for one person! ;-) *hugs*

Hi everyone! This list is obviously highlighting my favorite links from the month, but I’m not surprised that everyone is especially intrigued by those Oreos. I thought those creative cakes were amaaazing. And I absolutely laughed out loud when I spotted the Saddest Cookbook ever.

Elisa – it’s nice to see you here! Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment.

a few years ago i was in argentina, and those dulce de leche oreos are a standard flavor down there! the filling isn’t creamy like real dulce de leche, it’s the same texture as original oreos, just flavored (and the flavor isn’t quite right.) but i might have to buy a box just for old times sake…
ps-i love these end of the month round up posts. i end up opening all the links in separate tabs and spend my morning reading through them between doing work.

The Small Bites were a treat. ‘Mom’ and ‘Dad’ gave good advice …wait, where have I heard that before?

Twinkies. Don’t they have a shelf life of 80 years, meaning an original can still be eaten?

Asparagus as a hangover deterrent? Wish I’d known that last weekend.

The cover of the Saddest Cookbook ever. Awww. Hysterical.

I’m really curious about those Dulce de Leche Oreos. They could be fantastic, but I’m having a hard time imagining carmel with that hard, crunchy uber-dark cookie. But again, it could be fantastic.

Small bites returned:

How do you cook a whole vacation, and does it have to be stuffed first?

As for eating asparagus to prevent a hangover, the supposition is drinking prevents asparagus. I got that from my college Logic class, and it has stood me in good stead ever since.

Animal paper clips: you want, the kids will want and then you’ll have to put up a kid-proof locker so that the kids can’t get at them, and then you won’t get at them ’cause it’s too much trouble. Here’s a dollar. Buy yourself a Popsicle.

Your Uncle Bob turns 75 today! I think he’s having lunch with Aunt Jan and the hostess at IHOP whose name is Twinkie, and none of them look a day over 79. Yea, I’m still the baby in the family!

This was a fun posting, as usual. I haven’t had Twinkies in decades and don’t think I could tolerate the sugar load anymore, but it brought back memories. Cooking vacations sounds like fun. Great suggestion to heat taco shells that I’ll try. Animal-shaped paper clips are cute but don’t look easy to use because of the odd shapes. I’m a purist when it comes to Oreo cookies.
Cookbook typo very embarrassing and makes a point for careful editing by a human rather than spell check. Don’t eat fast food, so I can’t appreciate their secret menus. The best post was the Creative and Unusual Cakes….how do they do that!
