If you’re one of those people who waits until the 11th hour to do your holiday gift shopping, then it’s possible you’re one of those people who waits until two days before Thanksgiving to decide what you’re making. And if that‘s the case, then let me recap what I’m going to be eating, and perhaps inspire you along the way.
To start off the eating frenzy:
(1) Pumpkin Pecan Crescent Rolls (2) Pumpkin Spice Muffins (3) Pumpkin Muffins with Cranberries & Pecans (4) Homemade Slow Cooked Applesauce
To accompany your big ‘ol bird:
(1) Spaghetti Squash with Onion, Garlic, and Parmesan (2) Sauteed Brussels Sprouts with Pancetta Breadcrumbs (3) Cranberry-Pomegranate Relish (4) Wild Rice Stuffed Acorn Squash
You’re all waiting for the pie, right? Surely Amy will be making a pie for Thanksgiving. I mean, it’s Thanksgiving. And Amy. And pie.
Well. My mom has this one nailed. Her apple pie makes all other pies weep with shame, so I don’t mess with perfection. The fact that I actually get to eat a slice makes me beyond giddy.
This is the first year, since 2005, that my family will be together, without anyone having to get on a plane. There is guaranteed to be a lot of hugging, high-fiving, crying, and things like “YAY!” being said. And a lot of yummy noises. A lot.
I cannot wait.
Now, if you’ll excuse me…I’ve got a house to clean. Because even I left that until the last minute.

I hope your Thanksgiving was beyond divine. Being with family is the best part, I know, but your menu has me drooling. I think the pumpkin pecan crescent rolls are absolutely inspired! Love you! *Hugs*
just dropping by to say happy thanksgiving!! ;)
those crescent rolls look great, happy thanksgiving!
Joanne – Your latest menu sounds awesome. And if your family doesn’t like it, you have a place at my table next year!
Stephanie – Those crescent rolls are wicked easy. And so good. Make them…you won’t be sorry.
JLynn – 20 items shared among 5 of you…that sounds like a real feast. And I don’t think you’ll have to worry about not getting your fill. And think about the possible leftovers. Awesome. Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Thanksgiving!
Natasha – Thanks! And many warm wishes back atcha!
Lynda – How much do I love that you try my recipes? And with positive reviews? And come back here to tell me? You are wonderful. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours as well!
Lo – Here’s to bellies full of laughs and food. *mwah mwah mwah*
Yay! I love yummy sounds… and I think it’s fantastic that your family can be together this year. Of course, I’m lusting after this feast as well… Have a Very Happy Turkey Day, Amy!
I made your spagetti squash for a church group and it was a hit! I’m making your relish for Thanksgiving (fortunately, it’s not at my house). I’m wishing your family a wonderful holiday.
Those are some great looking dishes! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I start planning months in advance then look @ sites like yours, along with Joanne, I’m vascillating until the 12th hour! The applesauce looks divine. Brussel sprouts are already on the menu, Thank God! There’s only 5 of us and over 20 items on the menu. The real issue is, do I add the applesauce now! A “real cook” would!
I. Love. Thanksgiving. Those pumpkin pecan crescent rolls are intriguing…I might have to find time to make those.
You totally pegged me with this post. I’m still going back and forth about various parts of my menu. Which is what always happens until the final hour when it’s a do-or-die kind of situation. And now you’ve tempted me with each and every one of these. Damn.
