Pick any weekday. Go ahead, pick. Monday? Okay, we’ll go with Monday…We put the kids to bed, Paul gets more work done and I catch up on reading other blogs or working on this one. Then we watch a little TV. And 30 minutes in, I go and make popcorn.
Okay. Pick another day. Thursday? Okay. Thursday…see above.
(Yes, we are totally boring. But that’s not the point.)
It’s a pretty rare evening over here if popcorn doesn’t make an appearance. We just love it. I’m a traditionalist and always pop it on the stove in a little oil. Then I eat it plain. (I know, boring. Again.) Paul likes his with salt and butter. BUT, we enjoy all different flavors – with truffle oil, cheddar seasoning, melted white chocolate, cayenne pepper, Parmesan. Yes, yes, yes.
Also? We love the half popped kernels that sink to the bottom of the bowl. Who would think of throwing those little gems out?! Travesty.
And whaddya know, there’s a company that feels the same way. HalfPops packages those gems and sells them. Brilliant.
Check out our video product review. There’s singing.
What about all the footage that didn’t make the cut? Enjoy the outtakes.
Want to try some? HalfPops sent me a bunch for my loved ones (that’s you!) to sample.

I wanna win free half-pops! I love them and they aren’t sold anywhere in the Midwest now! WHY NOT????? I love them!
It’s December and I’m still watching. And Paul’s Bon Jovi still gets my vote.
Hee! I’ll tell him! He’ll be thrilled to know that 2 months later, and still entertaining someone out there. The Bon Jovi was near and dear to my heart, also…I used to be obsessed with him in high school. Ah, my youth.
I know I’m (way) too late for the contest, but I just couldn’t leave this page without telling you how adorable you two are! Your videos never disappoint!
It’s okay! I love that you still stopped by to watch <3
I recently saw these in the Food Network magazine and ordered them as fast as I could. They are amazing , too good to be true. They are even better than I expected . I am a popcorn lover and I love the “old maids ” better than the popcorn . They got it right . Sooo good !!!
I watched this just so I could feel truly with you for just a second. :D
Love you. Love to Paul.
The jingles need a little work, but the product is unique and certainly worth a taste! :)
My favorite is the Bob Dylan one, though I couldn’t figure out what Paul was saying.
My husband is half-popped; he needs this.
He is HILARIOUS! You guys must have so much fun together! :D Thanks for the laugh and for sharing Half Pops with us!
Love, love, love popcorn! Would love to try these!
Dude! So I am also a popcorn addict. I didn’t realize there were others out there who, like me, pop a pot of popcorn every night (in oil, YES!–I alternate between canola and olive oil, because olive oil gives it a nice different taste). Seriously. I would love to win this giveaway. I’ve always been the one to eat the kernels out of the bottom, to the annoyance of my sisters (it makes for very loud chewing =).
Oh, yummy! I’ve finally gotten my hot-air popper to at least pop most of the kernels I put in, and not scorch but fail to pop half the kernels. And I’ve got more amongst the not-popped ones that are at least half-done, so they’re edible like this. It’s an old popper, I’m just nursing it along as long as I can.
And yes, bacon would be awesome!
What a cool product!
such an intriguing product…
I’m with Paul…I want some bacon half pops!
My dad LOVES the half-popped kernels, and almost always gets fussed at by my mother for eating them. Maybe if he was eating these she wouldn’t fuss so much…
I love the idea of half-popped corn! It’s always the best part — probably because it spends all that delicious time hanging out with the salt and pepper and roasted garlic (my favorite toppings) in the bottom of the bowl.
Yum — gotta try these!
Half popped kernels…YUM! Bacon flavored….THE BOMB!
They sound like a very interesting treat! I love popcorn!
I like Very Culinary on FB

Would love to win! I am going to be living off popcorn since our stove and oven stopped working today and a new one will not be here until the 13th!
I love popcorn, too. Not sure about the half pops, but would be interested in trying.
