Right about now, you need a crowbar to get me away from my grill. Even in 100 degrees, you’ll still find me out there. The end result is just so worth it.
This entire month I’m celebrating grilled food. And OXO is doing it with me! Thanks to them, I had a chance to try out some of their newest products, perfect for the summer season. And every single one of them was awesome. OF COURSE. OXO never disappoints.
First up is the Ratcheting Pineapple Slicer. I cored and made flawless rings in less than 2 minutes. No need to even peel the pineapple. Seriously incredible.
Want a demonstration? I thought so! So we made a video for you. View and watch pineapple slicing awesomeness ;-)

Grilled Cinnamon and Sugar Pineapple Rings
Makes 8-10 rings
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 6 minutes
Ingredients
• 1 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored and cut into rings (fast and easy with the OXO pineapple slicer!)
• 1/4 cup cinnamon
• 1/4 cup sugar
• vanilla ice cream (optional) – I used Dreyer’s Slow Churned Light
• toasted coconut (optional)
Directions
Preheat an outdoor grill (or stove-stop grill) for medium-high heat.
In a flat dish, combine the cinnamon and sugar. Dredge both sides of each pineapple ring in the sugar mixture.
When your grill is hot, oil the grates or coat with cooking spray. Grill pineapple for about 3 minutes per side, or until heated through and tender, but not mushy.
Transfer 1 or 2 pineapple rings to dessert bowls and top with a scoop of ice cream and sprinkle with toasted coconut. Serve immediately.

I try to avoid single-use kitchen gadgets, but that looks awesome. Great recipe too!
Looks amazing!!! I would love to see this in action. Can’t wait to try the recipe!
pineapple love! we are so all about pineapple coconut ice cream with “stuff” in the TasteSpotting kitchen now…:)
Very nice! I’ve avoided fresh pineapple for the same reasons (that and sharp knives and I don’t get along).
Very impressive!

That recipe sounds delicious! My grandmother would make me baked pineapple when I was a little girl, thanks for the memories!
I love the taste of fresh pineapple, but I also love it roasted in the oven with cinnamon and brown sugar.
I love pineapples! Awesome OXO!
I have grilled pineapple on the grill. I soaked it in coconut milk and then dredge in cinnamon. Delicious served with vanilla ice cream and hot caramel sauce. I think that your recipe would probably be as good and considerably less expensive. Thanks for posting!
I’ve seen that Pineapple slicer at food specialty stores, but they were completely sold out (sure sign of a great gadget). If cutting the fruit would be that easy, I’d eat so much more of it!
Wow, that looks awesome. Love me some fresh pineapple.
I love OXO products and this looks like another winner!
I am a major OXO fan… I am doing the recipe on the grill this evening. Thanks again for all the info on FB and Twitter..
Uhm holy wow that was simple and they really do make awesome products.
OK that looks fantastic! Can I use it on things other than pineapples? How about watermelon? A boneless ham?
Wow! You could use that on a small ham, too, and then have perfect sandwiches. Or not.
I have a pineapple waiting just for this!
Great Giveaway! I can think of a thousand other ways to use it besides slicing pineapple!
woohoo!
You know I basically live solely to see your videos, right? Any chance to see that cute face of yours!
Sigh. Love OXO. They just sent me a cherry pitter!
