I know a lot of you struggle with recipe organization and menu planning. So I’m excited to let you know about a new feature at Very Culinary to help you with this. I’ve partnered with ZipList, the easy-to-use online grocery list service. It enables you to build and share grocery lists and recipe boxes, via website or mobile. All for free.

If you already have a ZipList account, great! If not, it’s extremely easy and fast to create one. Once you’ve signed up, here’s how it works:

At the end of each of my posts, you’ll still be able to print the recipe, but now you’ll also see a link that says “Save this recipe.”

By clicking on the “Save this recipe” link, you’ll have the choice to add the recipe to your box for later or add the ingredients to your shopping list for different meals each week.

If you already have certain ingredients, you can easily remove those items, or change the amounts of others.

At any time, if you want to check what recipes are in your recipe box, just click on the ZipList icon in my navigation bar at the top of the site.

And you’re certainly not limited to just Very Culinary recipes. ZipList has also partnered with tons of other food sites, including Martha Stewart, Joy of Baking, SkinnytasteSimply Recipes, and Recipe Girl. It’s wonderful to be in such great company!

Because of the way my posts are structured, I have to update each one at a time. I think I’m up to December 2010. I have like 200 recipes to go. Oy. But little by little, they’ll all be on board. Bear with me. And while that might take me a few weeks, signing up for the service takes seconds!

More proof that the internet makes life easier but more time consuming.

When you find the store with peace and quiet, call home.
