Oh Baby, it’s coooold outside! Yes, I know. Then what the heck am I doing posting something made for the summer months?
Because it’s really good!
And we have to take into consideration our fellow neighbors, friends, and company who don’t drink coffee, or tea, or cocoa, or eggnog…hey, wait! Eggnog is chilled! I rest my case.
Surfing Pinterest led me to the creator of this drink, Heather Ross. Her husband made it Mojito style, with rum and mint leaves. And you can certainly do that. But I went the virgin route, since I wanted something my kids could enjoy. They loved it! And I do believe this is the first time they actually tasted soda, but what the heck…it’s Christmas time.

what kind of rum do you use?
Hi Diane – I would go with Captain Morgan!
Ooh, super tart and tasty. Just the way I like it, even if it is 21 degrees out! I’ll go enjoy it by the space heater… :)
Sounds very refreshing, an both 7-up and rum sounds good to me.
I’d take this over egg nog any day! Lovely photos too!
I’m amazed your kids have never had soda! That’s awesome and..you’re my hero.
This looks delicious!! I think I am going to have my bartender (husband) make me one of these soon!
:D <3
“I do believe this is the first time they actually tasted soda”
I love you. ;D
:D :D I am sort of proud of that. And I might add, it’s such a tiny amount…and mixed in with strawberries…and they’ll probably have to wait another year to get any again… Ok, I’ll stop now. HEE. <3
