Strawberry Limeade Cooler (with 7-Up or Rum)

Strawberry Limeade Cooler | Very Culinary

Oh Baby, it’s coooold outside! Yes, I know. Then what the heck am I doing posting something made for the summer months?

Because it’s really good!

And we have to take into consideration our fellow neighbors, friends, and company who don’t drink coffee, or tea, or cocoa, or eggnog…hey, wait! Eggnog is chilled! I rest my case.

Surfing Pinterest led me to the creator of this drink, Heather Ross. Her husband made it Mojito style, with rum and mint leaves. And you can certainly do that. But I went the virgin route, since I wanted something my kids could enjoy. They loved it! And I do believe this is the first time they actually tasted soda, but what the heck…it’s Christmas time.

Strawberry Limeade Cooler
Serves 2-4
Prep time: 5 minutes

• 1 (12 ounce) container frozen limeade
• 6 ounces 7-Up or Sprite*
• 2 cups frozen strawberries

Put all the ingredients in a blender and give it a whirl until it’s thoroughly combined. Serve right away and enjoy!

* Just buy a 12 ounce can and use 1/2 of it or fill the empty limeade container 1/2 way)

Hi Diane – I would go with Captain Morgan!

Ooh, super tart and tasty. Just the way I like it, even if it is 21 degrees out! I’ll go enjoy it by the space heater… :)

Sounds very refreshing, an both 7-up and rum sounds good to me.

:D :D I am sort of proud of that. And I might add, it’s such a tiny amount…and mixed in with strawberries…and they’ll probably have to wait another year to get any again… Ok, I’ll stop now. HEE. <3
