I spent the last couple of months playing around with different ingredient combinations to bring you an entire summer of smoothies.
And heads-up!! I contacted VitaMix to see if they wanted to play with me and they said YES. Yay!! I will be giving one of their amazing blenders away during the series – you don’t want to miss that!
I just love smoothies. Their ease, versatility, and deliciousness! Most of them can be made with only a few simple ingredients and in under 5 minutes. Pretty much anything goes…I mean, it’s pretty difficult to screw one up. Too thick, add more liquid. Too loose, add more fruit or ice. Awesome for breakfast, lunch, or even dessert. And certainly perfect for summer time!
I’m kicking my 12 weeks off with this one. Definitely a favorite. For Trevor, my lovable strawberry fiend.
Strawberries and Cream Smoothie
Prep time: 5 minutes
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1 cup low fat vanilla frozen yogurt
• 1 heaping cup of fresh sliced strawberries
• 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
Place all ingredients in a blender and combine until smooth.
