This stir-fry was a favorite with my kids, so I’ve actually made it a few times already, taking advantage of one of the the other recipe suggestions on the box for variety, subbing in sirloin for the chicken and green beans for the bell peppers.
It’s truly been a lifesaver on our soccer and dance nights – I prep the fresh ingredients before we head out and then just whip it up when we get home. Boom! Dinner in 15 minutes!

(Kraft) Sweet and Sour Chicken
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes
• 1 1/2 cups long-grain white rice, uncooked
• 1 1/2 pounds boneless and skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
• 1 red bell pepper, coarsely chopped
• 1 small red onion, coarsely chopped
• 1 can (8 ounce) pineapple chunks, drained
• cooked white rice
• 1 box (14 ounce) Kraft Recipe Makers, Sweet & Sour Chicken
Cook rice according to package directions.
In the meantime, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken with a sprinkle of salt and pepper; sauté the chicken in half of the simmering sauce that comes in the box, until no pink remains, about 6 minutes. Add in the onion and bell pepper with the remaining simmer sauce, cook for another 3 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender.
Stir in the finishing sauce (that came in the box) along with the pineapple; cook for another 1-2 minutes until heated through.
Serve over cooked rice.
