Food Art: Sushi
All sushi truly is food art. Even if you’re not a fan of eating it, you can still appreciate how gorgeous these images are to look at.
From left to right – the Beacon Roll is named after it’s homeland of the Beacon Restaurant in Los Angeles, CA, the Coconut Mousse and Cashew Cucumber dessert is courtesy of WD-50 in New York City, NY, and the Sashimi Salad is made at Bluefin, located in Newport Beach, CA.
I have never been to any of these restaurants, but I sure want to go.

I’m so glad I’m not pregnant – bring on the raw fish! Hallelujah! These are gorgeous.
If you’re ever in the Chicago area, Mirai is the best sushi place, in my opinion. They have several types of tuna available and very creative rolls. The food is incredibly fresh. It’s a little more expensive than some others, but given the quality, it is well worth it.
There’s also Katsu on Perterson, and Tsuki on Fullerton. Too many to count, actually.
I’ve eaten sushi in all the major cities (San Fran, San Diego, LA, NYC, Chicago, etc.) and interestingly enough, the BEST sushi I have ever had is at a place called Mikuni, located in Sacramento. Hands down.
Kikugawa in Mpls is pretty darn good. I also love eating sushi on a hot, summer day in NYC. Mmmm.
Sushi. It isn’t just for breakfast anymore. Thank goodness we have a handful of reputable sushi places right here in Tiny Town. But I can’t wait for my next trip to NYC to get to WD-50. Chef wylie Dufresne is hailed as a culinary wizard.
